My name is Brooke Riley, I am 24 years old, and I am from Lowell, Massachusetts. I graduated from Rivier University in Nashua, NH with my bachelor's degree in both elementary and special education. I am now attending Fitchburg State University to obtain my master's in Curriculum and Teaching. I work in the Lowell, MA Public School system as a classroom teacher for students with autism grades 2-4. I absolutely love my job! Some days can be hard, but seeing the children reach important mile stones makes it all worth it. I think my students have taught me more than I have taught them. These kids are so smart, brave, funny, and they have a heart of gold. They motivate me to make a difference in the autism community. I am currently Miss New England Ambassador and with this title, I have been traveling around New England bringing knowledge and awareness to Autism. At a Zumba event to raise money for Autism, I met Lenard. Lenard invited me to some Autism Eats events and I was blown away by how incredible the events were. It's amazing that there is an organization out there that provides a night out for families with autism to mingle with other families who share many of the same joys and challenges. It is also great that the families can go out without the fear of being judged. I will be competing for the title of Miss Greater Nashua America and I will be using Autism Eats as my platform. I would love to bring more attention to this great organization and to get more people and families to attend! Thank you Lenard and Autism Eats for including me in your events and for allowing me to promote you!
